Sunterra Market will open its doors at Bower Place mall Tuesday.
The almost-20,000 sq. ft. shop, located on the east side of the mall, will have groceries, prepared meals, meat and seafood, produce, cheese and deli, bakery and coffee bar.
The Alberta-based company launched in Calgary in 1990, and grew to include nine stores in Calgary and Edmonton.
Red Deer’s Sunterra was originally expected to open in early 2020.
The Red Deer store will employ 130 full and part-time workers, according to its latest newsletter.
