Alberta Superstore workers will vote this week on the final contract offer from the grocery store company.
Voting will take place between Oct. 26 to 28 and Red Deer Superstore employees vote in person on Oct. 28. Online voting is also available.
Bargaining between the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 401 and Superstore resumed after union members voted 97 per cent in favour of strike action.

About 10,000 employees work at Superstore, and roughly 3,000 participated in the strike vote.
Under Alberta law, a strike vote is valid for 120 days, and a union is only required to give a company 72 hour notice of strike action. The strike vote was held Sept. 21 to 23.

Other Superstore employees who will be voting on the contract include workers from Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Spruce Grove, Airdrie, Camrose, Medicine Hat, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, and Lloydminster.
