Suspect arrested for attempted murder in central Alberta

Maskwacis RCMP continue to investigate

The suspect in the attempted murder of a 17-year-old male on Samson Cree Nation earlier this week has been arrested.

Maskwacis RCMP said a 29-year-old suspect was recently arrested without incident at a residence on the Ermineskin Cree Nation.

Police said the attempted murder happened in the early morning hours of March 2.

Maskwacis RCMP are continuing to investigate.

The suspect was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on March 15 at 9:30 a.m.
