Police have determined a suspicious death in Wetaskiwin was a homicide.

An autopsy was completed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton Wednesday, after a suspicious death was reported Tuesday at 11:15 a.m.

The deceased man was identified as Daryan Lyndon John, 22, of Kehewin Cree Nation.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit would like to speak with anyone who came in contact with him earlier this week, or has any information related to the circumstances surrounding his heath.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Wetaskiwin RCMP at 780-312-7267.

Police say an update will be provided when more information is available.
