Suspicious death under investigation

Maskwacis RCMP respond

Alberta RCMP’s major crimes unit is investigating a suspicious death after a body was discovered on Herman-Minde Road, east of Highway 2A, on Sunday.

Maskwacis RCMP responded at 8:15 a.m. to a report of an unresponsive male lying on the road. Police said the man was dead and circumstances appeared suspicious.

An autopsy is scheduled at the office of the chief medical examiner in Edmonton later this week.
