The Central Alberta Humane Society wants people to have a Sweet February by enjoying locally baked goods in support of the Red Deer animal shelter.
Prior to COVID-19, annual cupcake sales were held in February to raise money for the shelter. This month, Sweet February will be held instead.
For the new fundraising campaign, local bakers are asked to choose one week in February to sell a signature creations made exclusively for Central Alberta Humane Society. Fifty per cent of the proceeds will be donated to the shelter.
