Fine Furniture Meets Fine Art is a stunning exhibit from brothers Jim and Steve Coffey which will be on display at bilton contemporary art from Dec. 4 to Jan. 2, 2010. Christmas Luncheon, craft and bake sale, hosted by the Knox Ladies Group, will be held on Dec. 5, 11:30 to 1:30 at the Knox Presbyterian Church. Admission, which includes luncheon is $4 for adults, $2 for children between five and ten years. For more information call 403-346-4560.

Victoria Park Retirement is hosting their annual Christmas craft and bake sale on Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crafts and baking from the residents and various vendors will be available, as well as prizes, raffles, cider and cookies. Red Deer Christmas Bureau is experiencing increased demand this year. Several events are planned for Dec. 5: Bower Place Shopping Centre colouring contest; Cosmos Bottle Depot/Big 105 and The Drive Bottles for a Brighter Christmas; Parkland Mall/Z99 and KG Country Stuff A Bus Event, RCMP Charity Check Stop; Rebels Tuque Toss; and Westerner Christmas Bazaar. Medicine River Wildlife Centre 2010 calendars will be available for sale at Dentoom’s Greenhouses on Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Purchase a calendar and have your photo taken with Otis the great horned owl for this day only.
