Fanatullen Scandinavian Dancers Open House will be held on Oct. 19 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Festival Hall. Come out for free lessons and demonstrations. Lessons will be held for six weeks starting Oct. 26. The cost for lessons is $30 per person, or $15 per person for membership, and $2 per lesson. Scandinavian heritage not required. Singles welcome. Red Deer Independent Film Group’s Reel Movie Mondays continue with Empties on Oct. 19 at Cineplex Galaxy Theatre at 7 p.m. A frustrated literature teacher takes a job at a bottle return booth where he finds his real calling, trying to fulfill the lives of his friends, family and acquaintances.
