Sylvan Lake is one of Western Canada’s top beaches.
AMA Travel Canada recently named top six beaches in Western Canada and Sylvan Lake made the cut.
The lake is a “fantastic option for boating and fishing and well known to Albertans,” says the AMA travel website.
The beach, the only one in Alberta that made the list, is “known for being very clean because the town conducts an annual cleanup event.”
Others in the list were: Gyro Beach in Kelowna, Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver, Chesterman Beach on Vancouver Island, and Saskatchewan’s Manitou Beach and Good Spirit Beach.
