Sylvan Lakers vote on Winter Village planters

Sylvan Lakers came out to visit the Winter Village this evening to check out the planter parade, warm up by the bonfires and drop off their votes for best planter at participating businesses.

Twenty local businesses decorated and donated the trees in the planters lining the pathway through the Winter Village, vying for the votes for Best Overall Planter and the Best Themed Planter. Voters can drop off their ballots at the following five locations: Chateau Market, The Fireside Lounge, Nomads, Dairy Queen, Sylvan Steam and Spa and Viva La Sirena.

Dec. 17, from 5 – 7 p.m is the last night the bonfires will be held.

The planters sold out on the first day the Town approached businesses with the idea of having the planter parade. The Town plans to at least double the parade of planters next winter. The last day to vote on the planters is Dec. 18 and the winners will be announced. on Dec. 19.

The trees will be planted around Sylvan Lake once they defrost.
