Sylvan Lake’s alleys are so snow clogged that the town is asking residents to leave their garbage and recycling containers in front of their homes.
The town put out a request to residents on Monday to put out their garbage between windrows or near the front sidewalk beginning today.
Trucks will continue to try to use alleys but recent heavy snowfalls and warming temperatures have made many alleys unusuable for heavy vehicles.
Public works crews will continue to head out to alleys to clear snow so residents can reach their driveways and garages.
