Trochu Valley School students reach out to touch the world’s largest golf tee at the Trochu and District Community Centre Monday.

A celebration welcomed the landmark after the town beat Camrose and Marwayne in an ATB Financial contest, garnering two-thirds of the nearly 5,000 votes votes.

The 12-metre-tall, 680-kg steel tee, created for the ATB Financial Classic golf tournament, was erected outside the Trochu Golf Club so it’s visible from Hwy 21.
