Telus customers in Red Deer may have difficulty connecting to 911 due to intermittent Telus service outages in the area, a city news release said today.
Red Deer Emergency Services advises residents to try their home phone first; if there is no dial tone, try a cellphone.
As not all cellphone towers are affected by this outage, you may have success with your cellphone by changing your location in your house, or by driving to a different location in the city.
If these options do not work, officials ask you to drive to firehall No. 3 at 4340 32nd St. for assistance.
Telus crews are working to fix the problem.
