The third-annual Joyce deHaan Memorial Mad Hatter Tea Party in the Red Deer’s Holiday Inn’s Winspear Ballroom was a Saturday afternoon of entertainment, a silent auction, door prizes and raffles and, of course, cups of tea being drunk underneath a plethora of extravagant hats. It was all in support of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre’s cancer centre and the Canadian Cancer Society. The table with the best theme won a prize and this group’s theme of depicting “bucket list” destinations was certainly one of the stronger contestants.
