Red Deer’s concert season is kicking off with two club shows — including a performance by The Sheepdogs.

Canada’s beloved retro-rock band from Saskatoon will be on stage at Bo’s Bar and Grill on Nov. 28 to share with fans musical selections from their acclaimed new Album, Outta Sight.

Meanwhile, metal heads can catch Edmonton’s All Else Fails at The Vat in Red Deer on Sept. 17. The award-winning melodic heavy-metal band will be promoting the new EP, The Incident at Black Lake.

All Else Fails promises to plumb to new emotional depths on this EP, after putting out nine previous albums over the past 15 years. The Incident at Black Lake, due for release on Sept. 30, is described as “a deeply personal, brutally honest, and staggeringly complex take on the reality-bending mental struggles of vocalist and founder, Barrett Klesko.”

The Sheepdogs are on a 50-date tour of North America after wrapping up a successful European tour earlier this year that included performances in Scandinavia, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and France, where the band’s popularity is soaring. A packed show in Paris ended with the audience chanting the guitar riff for the song Nobody back at the Canadian musicians.

The Sheepdogs are spending 2022 on various global stage, performing to thousands of ebullient fans. To commemorate the experience, the band is releasing an exclusive vinyl LP, Live At Lees, recorded across four sold-out shows at Lee’s Palace in Toronto in December 2021.
