A man broke into Mitchell and Jewell early Friday morning, broke a display case and took off with the contents.
Red Deer City RCMP responded at 3:49 a.m. to the alarm at the business, located at 4910 45 Street, to find a broken window on the east side of the business.
Police said further investigation revealed that a man had broken the exterior window, entered the business and smashed the display case, taking off on foot with the contents of the display case in a dark-coloured backpack or duffel bag.
The man was last seen heading northbound on foot. He is described as having a slim build, wearing dark coloured or black clothing, a baseball cap and jacket. Police are not offering a description of what was taken at this time.
