Thieves steal 11 guitars and laptop from home, Tuesday

Thieves stole 11 guitars when they broke into a Red Deer home on Tuesday.

Red Deer RCMP said the culprits kicked open the front door of a home on Grant Street sometime in the morning.

Two of the guitars taken were with their hard cases. The culprits also took some cash and an HP laptop computer.

Police are warning that if people see guitars advertised for sale similar to those in the photos, they might be purchasing stolen property. The stolen instruments are:

• Ovation Idea, acoustic/ electric, grey/black

• Epiphone Dove, acoustic, wood finish

• Epiphone Hummingbird – Acoustic – Sunburst

• Epiphone Riviera P-93 WR, hollow body electric, cherry wine

• Epiphone SG, sunburst

• Ibanez, hollow body electric, mahogany

• American Fender Stratocaster, electric with case, sunburst

• Mexican Fender Stratocaster, electric, sunburst

• Mann, hollow body electric, wood finish

• Fender, acoustic, wood finish

• Generic, bass, gold
