Eleven kgs of cocaine with an estimated value of $1.5 million was seized — the equivalent of 33,000 individual hits of cocaine — in search warrants executed in Calgary.

Police have arrested nine individuals in Red Deer, Calgary and Lethbridge as part of a year-long investigation by the Calgary Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit.

Brent Cyr, 21, Cameron O’Connell, 20, and Nicholas Soto, 27, all of Red Deer, are all facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and manufacturing raw cocaine into crack cocaine. Soto is also facing firearms charges.
