City of Red Deer RCMP members, including Const. Hugo Painchaud shown here with a shotgun, plus peace officers and Alberta Fish and Wildlife officials were out in force Thursday morning on Drummond Ave. as a bull and cow moose were discovered in the back yard of one of the homes on the quiet street. The moose were encouraged to leave the neighborhood when the Fish and Wildlife conservation officer set off load bang charges near them. The two moose then trotted down the street to an opening between two houses where they made their way out of city limits. The cow moose with a previous injury seemed to move quite well, though she hobbled along on only three feet.
