Three Ponoka men face armed robbery charges related to an incident on Feb. 3.

The three were arrested last week in relation to an armed robbery of the Mac’s Convenience Store near the intersection of Gaetz Avenue and Boyce Street in Red Deer.

Red Deer RCMP said at about 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 3, a lone male entered the convenience store, covering his face with his shirt and approached an employee, demanding cash.

No cash was turned over at first and the suspect then produced what appeared to be a black handgun, so the employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect then left the store and was seen leaving in a white truck.

Jordan Curtis Baron, 19, Stephen Earl Donaldson, 20, and Christian Michel Lesann, 18, all of Ponoka, have been charged with robbery, using an imitation firearm during a robbery and disguise with intent.

Baron and Donaldson made their first court appearances on Monday and Lesann will make his first court appearance today.
