Three Red Deer-area people charged with drug, stolen property, weapons offences

Three Red Deer-area residents were arrested and charged with numerous drug offences after RCMP carried out a search warrant.

Three Red Deer-area residents were arrested and charged with numerous drug offences after RCMP carried out a search warrant.

On March 22, Red Deer RCMP General Investigation Section, with assistance from Blackfalds RCMP and Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant on a vehicle within the city of Red Deer, as well as on a rural property in Red Deer County.

A large quantity of controlled substances, stolen vehicles, and prohibited weapons were recovered.

Three individuals were arrested and charged with a variety of offences, including possession of cannabis for the purpose of distributing, possession of a controlled substance, possession of property obtained through crime over $5,000, and possession of a prohibited weapon for a dangerous purpose.

A 42-year old male from Red Deer, as well as a 38-year-old male and a 32-year-old female from Red Deer County, were charged and released from custody. They are to appear in court on April 14.
