Timberlands boil water advisory lifted

Eight houses in Timberlands are now able to drink their tap water without having to boil it after the city lifted the ban on Sunday.

Eight houses in Timberlands are now able to drink their tap water without having to boil it after the city lifted the ban on Sunday.

The houses on Turner Crescent were issued a boil water advisory on Sept. 9 after a water main break in the area. The City of Red Deer sent water samples to Alberta Health Services and no contamination was found.

City staff went door-to-door last Tuesday to inform residents of the boil water advisory. Staff returned on Sunday to inform residents they no longer had to boil their water to use it.
