Innisfail RCMP made four arrests after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen.

On Jan. 4, the citizen reported a white Ford F350 truck, which appeared to be stuck in the ditch west of Penhold.

Four individuals were seen fleeing the area on foot.

Police arrived and confirmed the truck was reported stolen from the Sylvan Lake area and was the suspect vehicle involved in multiple occurrences throughout central Alberta.

Innisfail RCMP, with the assistance of Red Deer RCMP, the Red Deer RCMP crime reduction team and RCMP police dog services, located and arrested the four suspects without incident.

Peter Walker, 34, of Innisfail, Jason Cunningham, 30, of Stettler, and Harvey Lee-Bernick, 35, are each facing various charges, including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of break-in tools and trespassing.

Walker will appear in Red Deer provincial court Jan. 21, while Lee-Bernick and Cunningham will both appear Jan. 10.

The fourth arrested individual’s charges are pending and has yet to be sworn before the courts.

A search of the stolen vehicle was conducted and additional property was located. RCMP has investigated and was able to return the property to the lawful owners.
