STRATHMORE — The Alberta Tories are prescribing a network of family care clinics to cure some of the problems ailing the health-care system.
If elected, Premier Alison Redford says her government would establish 140 family care clinics across Alberta over three years.
Each would include a team of physicians, nurses, mental health counsellors, dieticians and other professionals.
To make the clinics more accessible, they would be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Redford says when the network is complete, every Albertan could be enrolled at a family care clinic.
There was no immediate word on how much the election campaign promise would cost.
