Lacombe Regional Tourism has banded together with Travel Alberta local municipalities to showcase the area through an app.
The “On This Spot” app is available for mobile phones or on Lacombe Regional Tourism’s website at www.lacombetourism.com. The app features historic information, virtual tours and “Then and Now” photographs.
City of Lacombe, Lacombe County, Alix, Bentley, Blackfalds, Clive and Eckville are all participating in the initiative.
A Travel Alberta Cooperative Investment Grant, as well as help from member municipalities, got the project off the ground.
