Tourism Red Deer introduces new CEO
Tourism Red Deer has a new chief executive officer.
On Thursday, the board of directors for the destination development corporation announced Jesse Smith will become Tourism Red Deer’s new leader.
Smith has “extensive experience” in strategy and planning from years of work with the City of Red Deer, Tourism Red Deer said in a media release.
“Jesse’s in-depth understanding of Red Deer’s community dynamics, coupled with his leadership acumen, make him an invaluable asset for our team,” stated the executive team of Tourism Red Deer’s Board of Directors.
“We are confident that with Jesse at the helm, Tourism Red Deer will reach new heights and further establish our city as a premier major event and tourist destination.”
Smith will be transition over the next couple weeks and is set to start in a full-time capacity as CEO at the start of September.
