City of Red Deer parking co-ordinator Fred Dieno examines a hockey stick among the toys, games and sports equipment used to pay parking fines at City Hall Thursday. The city’s third annual Toys for Tickets campaign has so far brought in more than 200 items of comparable value in lieu of payment for 180 tickets. Dieno was pleased that Red Deerians gave many items suitable for teens since the Red Deer Christmas Bureau, which receives all the items, is chronically short of gifts for the 13-17 age group.
