Traffic on Highway 21 is back to normal after being diverted by police for most of Monday after a semi-tractor trailer carrying diesel flipped in the ditch.

Three Hills RCMP had responded to a single motor vehicle collision just south of Three Hills early on Monday morning.

A semi-tractor with two tankers carrying diesel was travelling north bound on Highway 21, lost traction and the second tanker slid off the road into the ditch an flipped.

Traffic was diverted until evening while the scene is cleaned up.

Highway conditions in the area were reported as icy and slick.

There were no injuries and no additional risk to the public.
