Two adults, youth to be charged in abduction of baby in stolen truck

RCMP in northern Alberta say they will be charging three people in the abduction of a baby left inside an idling truck.

GRANDE PRAIRIE — RCMP in northern Alberta say they will be charging three people in the abduction of a baby left inside an idling truck.

Police issued an Amber Alert for the child when the pickup was stolen Tuesday from outside a home in Grande Prairie.

The seven-month-old girl named Addison was discovered a few hours later in her car seat on the porch of a rural home south of the city.

Police say a person in the house found the infant, who appeared to be unharmed.

A man and woman from Grande Prairie and a 14-year-old from Edmonton also face other charges, including child abandonment and theft of a motor vehicle.

The youth is also charged with failing to comply with a probation order.

Their names have not been released.
