INNISFAIL, Alta. — Police in Alberta say two 12-year-olds who took a family vehicle and were believed to be heading for British Columbia have been located.
RCMP say the boy and girl were found safe and well in Airdrie, just north of Calgary, on Tuesday morning.
Officers say public tips helped them locate the children.
The two had been reported missing on Monday.
Mounties said at the time that the boy had travelled to Innisfail, Alta., in the morning and left from there with the girl in a car.
The car was later found in Airdrie without the children.
