Two dead in residential fire in Calgary’s Harvest Hills neighbourhood

CALGARY — A fire in the northeast Calgary neighbourhood of Harvest Hills has left two people dead.

Fire crews were called to the multi-family residence at around 1:20 a.m. Saturday.

Officials say firefighters were able to quickly find and contain the blaze in an attached garage.

Firefighters found two adults inside the building when they searched the residence, but the victims were immediately pronounced dead when they were taken outside the building.

One adult and two children who also lived in the home were able to escape uninjured.

The Fire Investigator and Calgary Police Service Arson investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
