Two Innisfail residents charged with drug trafficking

Police seize drugs, cash and prohibited weapon from home

Two suspects from Innisfail were charged with drug trafficking after police searched a local residence.

On Feb. 10, Innisfail RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on a residence in the town of Innisfail.

As a result of the search the following items were seized by police: 36 grams of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $3600; four grams of cocaine with a value of about $320; and some cash.

Two Innisfail men, ages 25 and 27, are charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and proceeds of crime, and possessing a prohibited weapon.

Their next court appearance is Feb. 15, in Red Deer.

Another adult male was also arrested and drug-related charges are pending.
