Red Deer RCMP say there was no criminal or malicious intent after an incident at a school Friday morning.
Police were called to Holy Family School where two men in a grey truck allegedly approached students during recess at about 10 a.m.
The passenger reportedly got out of the vehicle and asked children if they wanted to get in the truck and if they had seen his Chihuahuas.
Police say the children refused and the men drove away.
“Police commend the children for responding appropriately to strangers and reporting this incident to school authorities,” RCMP said in a press release.
The incident is no longer under investigation.
