Two people dead after central Alberta crash

Two people died in a single-vehicle collision north of Wetaskiwin on Friday night.

Wetaskiwin RCMP said the collision happened at Highway 814 and Township Road 475, and officers responded to the scene at about 11 p.m.

Police said five people were in the vehicle and three survivors were transported by STARS air ambulance to an Edmonton area hospital. They were reported to be in serious but stable condition.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation into the cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
