Two people dead in multi-vehicle collision west of Breton

Two people are dead following a multi-vehicle collision west of Breton on Wednesday.

Breton and Thorsby RCMP were called about 5 p.m. to the scene of the collision on Highway 616 near Range Road 43.

Area police, along with the RCMP Criminal Collision Investigative Team, EMS, the local fire department and STARS went to the scene, where two people were pronounced dead.

Police said the name and ages of the deceased will not be released.

Breton RCMP continue to investigate this collision with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.
