Two people from Olds arrested, ‘significant amount of drugs’ seized

Police say two people from Olds were arrested and a “significant amount of drugs” were seized following a traffic stop last month.

Airdrie RCMP officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 2, north of Airdrie, on Feb. 14 at about 12:45 a.m.

“During the course of the traffic stop, officers entered into a drug investigation and arrested two occupants of the vehicle for possession of a controlled substance,” police said.

A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 81.5 grams of cocaine, 34.7 grams of methamphetamine, 7.8 grams of fentanyl, 55 tabs of LSD and approximately 220 other mixed prescription pulls.

Kayla Jade Dougan, 21, and Lee Scott Dougan, 48, are both charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance. Kayla Jade Dougan was also charged with failing to comply with release order conditions.
