Two Rocky Mountain House men face drug charges after traffic stop

Two Rocky Mountain House men are facing drug charges after their vehicle was pulled over by RCMP near Condor.

The vehicle was stopped on Highway 11 last Friday as part of a drug investigation by Rocky Mountain House RCMP’s general investigation section.

Two suspects wanted on outstanding warrants were found in the vehicle and arrested.

“A search of the occupants and vehicle revealed that they were in possession of cocaine, fentanyl and drug trafficking paraphernalia,” said RCMP.

Randy Bootsma, 28, and Dana Morin, 27, are each charged with possession of cocaine and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.

Morin was also charged with failing to comply with a court order.

At the time of their arrest, Bootsma and Morin were wanted on several outstanding warrants.
