Two seniors killed in southern Alberta highway crash

COALDALE, Alta. — The RCMP say a couple in their 80’s are dead after their vehicle collided with a tractor trailer in southern Alberta.

The crash happened Saturday evening near Coaldale, Alta., just east of Lethbridge.

Police say the senior’s Chevrolet Equinox was hit broad side by the truck at the intersection of Highway 4 and Range Road 205.

The two from Taber, Alta., were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say their next of kin have been notified, however, their names are not being released.

They also say the two people in the truck were not injured, and that no charges will be laid.
