Staff members from the Valley Park Manor and the Red Deer Nursing Home challenged one another to see which group could raise the most money for the United Way. The loser agreed to stand outside of the winner’s facility for a certain period of time and hold up a sign that proclaimed them to be the best facility. Valley Park Manor raised $2,603.50 while the Red Deer Nursing Home raised $3,223.18, so Tuesday morning continuing care supervisor Andy LeBlanc, along with resident service Leader Sue Priest, both Valley Park Manor staff, stood outside the Red Deer Nursing Home and displayed their sign.
