United Way chairman Darcy Mykytyshyn fits a fence’s cross boards while Warren Sinclair LLP lawyer Rhonda Elder, centre, and Karen Reay of the Red Deer and District Labor Council screw in a top board on Wednesday. They, along with other volunteers from Nova Chemicals and Servus Credit Union, built the fence at a Catholic Social Services Vanier Woods home as part of the United Way’s Day of Caring. Other volunteers were busy painting and doing other interior work for Lacombe’s Big Brothers and Sisters and at Sylvan Lake’s Kindercare Achievement Centre.
