Update: Television theft suspect turns himself in

After five televisions were stolen from a Red Deer retailer over a one-month period, a warrant has been issued for a suspect.

A man wanted in the theft of five TVs from a Red Deer retailer over a one-month period has turned himself in.

Damien Ray Vasseur, 23, turned himself in to Red Deer RCMP. He was then released on a recognizance before his next court date.

Vasseur has been charged with five counts of theft under $5,000.

The thefts occurred on Dec. 9, 13 and 15, and Jan. 7 and 9. Five televisions, all 40-inch 1080p LEDs, were taken from The Brick. Four of the TVs were Toshibas and one was a Samsung.

He will make his first court appearance in Red Deer provincial court on March 4.
