Ubuntu Mobilizing Central Alberta is hosting a virtual International Women’s Day celebration March 13-14.
“The event will feature stories bringing together different women and gender diverse people sharing their experiences, perspectives, and raising awareness,” Ubuntu said in a press release Thursday.
“In addition the organizing committee will be encouraging the celebrations of the many achievements of women as well especially during the pandemic.”
The event will feature speakers who have faced and challenged inequality and have helped build a more inclusive central Alberta.
The theme of 2021’s celebration is #ChooseToChallenge.
