Students graduating from high school, or anyone looking for a career change, is invited to register for Red Deer Polytechnic’s Virtual Open House, which will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The event, which will be delivered entirely online this year, will feature interactive sessions for a range of academic programs, as well as a virtual visitor’s hall where participants can learn more about the many services available at Red Deer Polytechnic.

“Whenever someone is considering their options for post-secondary education, it’s very important that they connect with the faculty and staff at the institution, people who can truly share what the program and the educational journey will involve,” said Kylie Thomas, Red Deer Polytechnic vice-president academic and provost.

“Through our Virtual Open House, participants will meaningfully engage with Red Deer Polytechnic program and service experts. These interactions will highlight the benefits of pursuing a post-secondary education and experience at Red Deer Polytechnic.”

Participants at the Virtual Open House can attend live sessions that are approximately 20 to 30 minutes each, depending on the program. Each session will include a presentation or demonstration, followed by a question-and-answer period for participants.

Registration is required for the virtual event, and complete details are available at rdc.ab.ca/openhouse. Attendees of the sessions will also have a chance to win one of four $500 tuition vouchers to Red Deer Polytechnic.

The polytechnic offers over 100 programs, including apprenticeships, certificates, diplomas, collaborative degrees, micro-credentials, and its own degrees.

In addition to the Virtual Open House, people can also see what the polytechnic has to offer through the virtual tour.
