Warrants have been issued for one of two suspects facing fraud and other charges arising from a traffic stop in Olds late in November.
Blackfalds resident Jeffrey Peter Webb, 27, failed to show up for court to enter a plea on Monday as scheduled. Defence counsel Walter Kubanek subsequently asked to be removed from the record and a warrant was issued for Webb’s arrest.
Co-accused Jessica Fedyk, 25, of Red Deer was also released previously. She is due in court on Jan. 29.
Charges were laid by Olds RCMP who allege that a variety of stolen goods, including merchandise and registration cards from two different hotels, were discovered when they pulled the vehicle over for a traffic violation on Nov. 24.
