Madison Martin, left, and Jill McCallister, both 13, paint their faces like Aztec warriors before they sell raffle tickets on their brown sugar-coated Aztec temple cake at Eastview Middle School Thursday. Their booth was part of the school‘s Spaztecia Market, an effort by more than 200 other Grade 8 students to buy and sell items related to the Spanish, Aztec and Mexican cultures which they have been researching for social studies. Other booths included a variety of foods, crafts and music, all of which could be purchased using Spazzy dollars, a currency students earned with good work and study habits.
