Firefighters and RCMP officers helped a Red Deer boy celebrate his third birthday.

On Tuesday, Sinead Holstein posted a video of several police cars and a fire truck driving in front of their home and waving at the family.

Will “loves police cars and fire trucks, and Marshall from Paw Patrol. So, I reached out to the Red Deer Firefighters Association about just sending someone in the sparky suit and wave him from the sidewalk,” Holstein said in the Facebook post.

“They went above and beyond. You guys, my heart exploded and I have been crying like a baby for an hour. In a time of uncertainty and negativity this is what they did for him. I couldn’t be more thankful.”

In the Facebook post, Holstein said she was having a “really hard time” knowing Will’s friends and family would not be able to attend a party that was planned due to quarantine.
