RCMP say road conditions in southern Saskatchewan are very poor with slippery sections, blowing snow and near zero visibility on several highways, including parts of the Trans-Canada.

Mounties were called to a two-vehicle a few kilometres east of Weyburn, but there was no immediate indication if the crash was weather-related.

Bad weather led to 127 collisions in Calgary over a 12-hour period Sunday, starting at 6 a.m.

In one instance, a police cruiser following a vehicle south of the city flipped onto its roof, but no one was hurt.

Environment Canada says parts of western and northern Manitoba are in for freezing rain and upwards of 25 centimetres of snow.
