Wednesday morning expected to be colder than Tuesday in Red Deer: Environment Canada

The cold temperatures in Red Deer Wednesday will be even lower than Tuesday’s.

Environment Canada expects Red Deer will be -47 C Wednesday morning, lower than Tuesday morning’s temperature of -42 C with a windchill.

Wednesday afternoon will be -38 C in Red Deer and -34 C in the night with a 60 per cent chance of flurries.

Environment Canada warns of frostbite in minutes.

The extreme cold warning is issued for various parts of central Alberta including County of Stettler, Lacombe County, Ponoka County and Red Deer County.

The deep freeze is expected to end Sunday. Environment Canada predicts a high of -3 C during the day and a low of -18 C in the night.

Monday will be sunny with a high of 4 C.
