A diverse musical lineup — Billy Talent, Corb Lund and Alan Doyle— means there will be something for everyone on the TD Main Stage at the 2022 Westerner Days Fair & Exposition.

“Westerner Days is an opportunity for people to reconnect and celebrate with each other, and live music contributes to the fair experience,” said Mike Olesen, CEO of Westerner Park.

“We also want to provide great value for our fair attendees, so concert tickets will now include admission to the fair. For a $30 bowl ticket, that means an $18 savings for an adult.”

Billy Talent hits the Main Stage at 8 p.m. on July 21. Corb Lund will perform at 8 p.m. on July 22, and Alan Doyle will be on the Main Stage at 8 p.m. on July 23.

Canadian rock band Billy Talent, formed in 1993, features lead vocalist Benjamin Kowalewicz, guitarist Ian D’Sa, bassist Johnathan Gallant, and drummer Aaron Solowoniuk. The band is currently touring internationally in support of their new album “Crisis of Faith.”

Lund, of rural Alberta, embraces both his Western heritage and his indie rock past through his music. “Agricultural Tragic,” his first album of original material in five years, came out in 2020 and debuted in the Top 5 on Billboard charts in both the U.S. and Canada.

Whether with Great Big Sea or solo, there is no mistaking Doyle’s distinctive voice and steady themes. Doyle’s newest release “Back to the Harbour” introduces new elements to his range while remaining close to his cherished traditions.

Concert tickets are $30 for the bowl or $40 on the floor.

Concert tickets, as well as Ride All Day (RAD) Passes, will be available June 1 at 10 a.m. at www.ticketsalberta.com. Both include admission to the fair. Westerner Park now offers free parking, providing even greater value.

The new Westerner Days website, launching June 1, will provide all the details on tickets, concerts, and more about central Alberta’s largest summer celebration.
