Saturday’s Cowboy Kicks fundraiser has been postponed because of the province’s COVID-19 situation.
“After much thought and consideration, we have decided to postpone Cowboy Kicks until we can deliver the fundraising experience we had envisioned for our guests,” said Kathy Lacey, Cowboy Kicks chair.
“We look forward to delivering a memorable fundraising experience once it is safe to do so.”
For those who have purchased tickets, they can be used at the rescheduled event. A new date will be announced in the near future.
Cowboy Kicks is a major fundraiser for the Westerner Foundation and the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sport Medicine Team.
It was billed as a fundraiser where arts meets west featuring a performance by country star Brett Kissel. A live auction, six packages featuring one-of-a-kind experiences and 1.2-metre high fibreglass cowboy boots, hand-painted by Albertan artists, were to be auctioned off.
More details about the event are available on Westerner Park’s website: westernerpark.ca/events.
